The Pines is an award-winning wedding and event venue located near Fargo, ND. Our team is looking for passionate, hard-working individuals to manage our venues and direct operations on event days. The Venue Manager’s primary responsibility is to provide day-of concierge services to primary renters and event vendors while ensuring the Pines standard level of care is being upheld.

Position Type: Part-Time Hourly; Seasonal 

Pay Range: $20 – $30/ hr DOE 

Position Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the day of point of contact for primary clients and vendors.
  • Work closely with the Pines Leadership Team in all aspects related to the day of events.  
  • Attend final consultation meetings if requested by the Pines Leadership Team. 
  • Open and prepare the venue for the arrival of the clients, vendors, and guests. 
  • Introduce yourself to your clients and their vendors, and let them know you are there to help with anything throughout the day. 
  • Monitor event timelines and ensure vendor ETAs are met according to planning material. 
  • Communicate to clients and vendors the details and limitations of the Pines policies and procedures.
  • Confirm the accuracy of venue set-up and overall cleanliness. 
  • Complete all event checklists on the day of events. 
  • Ensure the venue is meeting all standards set by the Pines Leadership Team 
  • Notify the Leadership Team of any building maintenance issues. 
  • Provide event-specific information, directions, and details to all vendors and guests. 
  • Gather photos and videos of all events for promotional purposes (submit to Pines Leadership Team). 
  • Work with venue staff throughout the event ensuring the safety of all guests and staff. 
  • Manage rehearsals, ceremonies, event logistics, and ensure they are being executed to the Pines standards. 
  • Welcome guests and direct them through the property/venue as needed. 
  • Identify and quickly resolve any problems that may arise during events while maintaining a stress-free environment. 
  • Positively represent the Pines brand and its core values both on-site and off (including social media). 
  • Ensure you are upholding the Pines Core Values.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Required
  • 1-year relevant event industry experience preferred. 
  • Must be 21 yrs of age or old and have the ability to serve alcohol.
  • Must obtain a Cass County Servers License
  • Be hardworking, passionate, maintain a positive attitude, and show a desire to learn in this position/industry. 
  • Engaging personality, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service. 
  • Must exude professionalism and follow all Pines dress and hygiene standards (The Pines will provide all employees with one Pines-branded zip-up sweater and two approved Pines Branded shirts).
  • Able to thrive independently and maintain poise, confidence, and consistency in all circumstances, solving problems as they arise without supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment. 

Position Expectations 

Must be able to work 12+ hour long shifts on event days with the majority of shifts being Fridays – Sundays. Venue Managers are expected to fulfill a minimum of three shifts per month to stay on staff during peak season. Shifts can be consecutive or on alternating weekends.**
