This is Fargo’s oldest park located in the beautiful downtown area. The gazebo is a popular and well-sought after picturesque location known among the residents of the Fargo/Moorhead area. The gazebo is available for rentals between 10:00 am-9:00 pm, and outside of the gazebo, the park in itself is a stunning backdrop to pop the big question, It includes a basketball court, tennis courts, handball, grills and picnic tables, playground, cross country ski trails, recreational trails – but even with all these things listed, it offers plenty of privacy and space for moments of specialty such as proposals.
This Garden was founded in April of 1998, in early 2018 an agreement was made with the Fargo Park District to enhance and expand the botanic garden over a six-acre area along 28th Avenue North in Fargo.
This garden offers a variety of places to choose from, a great opportunity to match where the proposal is the who is being proposed to. Options include: botanic garden greenhouse, hummingbird patio, chrysanthemum garden, rain garden, woodland garden, edible forest and more. There is a pedestrian bridge connected to Moorhead’s Gooseberry Park that overlooks the Red River and is trimmed with colorful trees each fall season. Bear Creek Winery hand-crafts a wide array of high quality cold climate wines ranging from white to red, dry to sweet, and rose to orange. Orchard Glen Park is a community orchard for everyone to enjoy. The natural setting is a popular backdrop for photographers year-round, but the vibrant colors in the fall are unforgettable, as should the moment be! The walking trail moves along the water and has magnificent views of the river and its bank. If you are hoping for some fruit picking, there are certain months where the fruit at Orchard Glen is most ripe, and late August – October is popular for apples!
The Fargo Theatre is a historic movie theater located in downtown Fargo, North Dakota. It was built in 1926 and is known for its iconic marquee sign. The attention to detail on the inside and outside of this building make for a very special experience – known as a Fargo icon, it’s the perfect place to step back in time and get a slice of history. Why not enjoy the nostalgia of this location while establishing your future with the person you plan to be with for the rest of your life.
This 28-acre park has two playgrounds, recreational trails, 18-holes disc golf course, shelter and stage rentals. Wedding reservations are accepted at Trollwood, so why not consider it as a place to start your journey of fiancé’s? Something that makes this park unique from the others, is that there is a barn stage a walk from the parking area. There is no inside space offered at this location, but the exterior is more than enough to set the scenery for one to lower their knee to someone special to them!
Rheault Farm is 15-acres and owned and operated by the Fargo Park District. The park has a picnic shelter, bunkhouse, playground, brick farmhouse, barn, granary, year-round restrooms and a Quonset. At this location, Fall in Fargo (formerly known as Fall Festival) is often held in the month of September. For an obvious fall themed proposal, this location offers a straw bale maze, farm animal petting zoo, and even a pumpkin patch, and better yet – it’s all free!
This park offers rustic trails perfect for hiking, romantic picnics, and is a great option if you value privacy and seclusion during your special moment with your partner. Wildflowers and wild life is a popular sight on this trail – Lions Conservancy Park features wooded trails, is a great spot to do some bird watching and even has a rustic Amphitheater stage with stone seating.
