One of the unique things about The Pines Weddings & Events is that our property is home to two separate wedding venues: Pines Black and Pines White. That means there are days throughout our wedding season when two couples are celebrating their weddings on the same day — one in each venue! Naturally, this brings up a few questions when couples tour with us:
Will our guests know where to go? Will we see the other wedding? Will we hear their music? Will we have our own staff and spaces?
The short answer: each wedding has its own venue, spaces, staff, and experience. Our 17-acre property was designed to allow Pines Black and Pines White to operate independently, while still giving both couples the full Pines wedding-day experience. Here’s exactly how two weddings on the same day work at The Pines.
Pines Black and Pines White are located in separate areas of our property, giving each wedding its own dedicated space for the day.
Each venue has its own reception space, ceremony space, patio area, getting-ready spaces, bar, restrooms, and other amenities. Once you and your guests arrive at your venue, your day is centered around your space and your celebration.
Although both venues share The Pines property, they don’t function as one large event space. Think of them as two distinct wedding venues that happen to be located on the same beautiful 17-acre property.
Each venue also has its own designated parking area, helping keep guest traffic separated from the moment everyone arrives. We know the last thing you want is Aunt Susan accidentally wandering into someone else’s cocktail hour!
To make arrival even easier, signage featuring each couple’s last name is placed on the property to direct guests toward the correct venue and parking area. This is especially helpful for guests who may have never visited The Pines before. From the moment they pull onto the property, they’ll know exactly where they’re headed.
One of the biggest ways we protect the experience of both weddings is through ceremony planning. When two weddings are taking place at The Pines on the same day, both ceremonies cannot take place outdoors at the same time. Instead, one wedding will utilize an outdoor ceremony space while the other utilizes an indoor ceremony space.
Why? Sound carries — especially across an open property. Having two outdoor ceremonies could mean music, microphones, applause, or other ceremony sounds traveling from one celebration to the other. We want the moment you walk down the aisle to feel completely focused on your wedding, not the celebration happening elsewhere on the property. By coordinating indoor and outdoor ceremony locations, our team can help minimize noise complications and preserve the atmosphere of each ceremony.
Cocktail hour is another time when couples sometimes wonder whether guests from the two weddings will mix. Each venue has its own patio area, so your guests have a dedicated outdoor space to enjoy throughout the evening. Whether they’re grabbing a drink, enjoying cocktail hour, stepping outside for some fresh air, or catching up with family and friends, your guests remain within the spaces connected to your venue.
Two weddings also means two Venue Managers. Each venue has its own Venue Manager assigned for the wedding day. That means the Venue Manager working with the Pines Black wedding is focused on the Pines Black couple, while the Venue Manager at Pines White is focused on the Pines White couple. You aren’t sharing one Venue Manager between two weddings.
Your Venue Manager is there to help with venue logistics, assist with the flow of the day, communicate with your vendors, and help make sure everything happening within your venue stays on track. The same separation applies throughout our event operations, allowing each wedding to receive the attention and support it deserves.
With 17 acres to work with, there are plenty of beautiful photo opportunities throughout The Pines. Our team is familiar with having two weddings on the property and can help couples and photographers navigate photo locations when needed. There are numerous photo spots surrounding each venue, making it possible for both wedding parties to capture the Pines scenery while maintaining separation between celebrations. And don’t worry — we’re not going to send two wedding parties to the exact same photo spot at the exact same time!
Having two weddings at The Pines on the same day doesn’t mean having one wedding experience split between two couples. It means two separate weddings happening within two distinct venues on one spacious property.
